- 3 cups fresh tomatos
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Puree tomatoes add baking soda – set aside
- 4 TBS Butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup flour
Melt butter in soup pot, add onion and cook soft not brown, sprinkle in flour and stir one- two minutes.
SLOWLY ADD:
- 4 cups milk
- 1 TBS honey
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 and 1/2 tsp dried basil
Slowly add tomatoes bring to simmer.
Taste, and correct seasoning as needed.
