KAF Big Batch Dinner Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 3 TBS unsalted butter
  • 2TBS Sugar or Maple syrup
  • 2 and 1/2 TBS yeast
  • 6-7 cups flour
  • 1 tbs salt but I usually omit this

(topping)

1 large egg beaten with 1 TBS water

Directions:

Combine water, milk, butter and sugar and yeast and salt if you use it- stir and let sit 6-8 minutes. Add 5 cups of flour and mix until dough forms a mass, just shy of forming a ball. Add 1/2 cup flour at a time until it forms a ball, knead until smooth and elastic.

Dough will be slightly tacky to touch.

Place in greased bowl, and cover let rise for 20 minutes in warm room until noticeably puffy. Gently deflate and pat into a rectangle.

Cut dough into four long strips and form balls into 36 pieces. Brush with egg mixture and add seeds. Cover lightly and let rise for 20-30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 while rolls are rising.

Bake 20-30 minutes

Freeze well into dinner serving size packages.
