Banana Cake

Preheat oven 350 degrees
Sift together
2 and ½ cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 and ¼ tsp of baking soda
1 and ¼ tsp of baking powder
Add 2/3 cup soft shortening
2/3 cup butter milk (use powder and mix powder with above add water)
3 Mashed bananas
3 eggs
Mix dry with shortening, bananas and 1/3 water
Add eggs and 1/3 water and mix 2 more minutes
Makes 2 round pans and ½ dozen cupcakes- place walnuts on top of mix
Bake 30 minutes or until knife comes out clean
I frost with brown sugar frosting.
